The course theme for the ETH Game Programming Laboratory in 2017 was "Jungle". Students worked in small teams to create new games inspired by the theme.

The Jungle is a difficult place for doing agriculture. The natural jungle makes it difficult to set borders. And of course none of the farmers want to stay with its cattle all the day. That’s why it’s common sense, that at the end of the day all the farmers are fighting for every cattle which can be found in the jungle. Rewind

Rewind is a puzzle game with unique game mechanics that challenges your mind. The spirits of the Jungle have been caught by some evil force. Your mission as a mystical creature of the jungle is to free them again so that the Jungle can prosper. To do that, you have to solve the puzzles and open the cages that keeps the spirits captive. To solve the puzzle you must use the Rewind ability. First, you record your actions, then the actions will be replayed by a copy of yourself. This copy is also a physical being so it will also have an impact on the environment. After performing your actions you can choose to continue with either your copy or the initial character.
