The Center
The ETH Game Technology Center (GTC) provides an umbrella over ETH research, teaching, and outreach in the area of game technology.

The GTC is a research center at the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich and brings together experts in game technology to advance the field through research, teaching, and outreach. With a focus on both advancing the state of the art in game technology and applying gamification to various disciplines, the center is exploring the potential of game technologies to revolutionize the way we experience digital worlds. The center's research aims to enable us to create and learn in novel ways by leveraging the unique properties of games. Through its interdisciplinary approach, the GTC is at the forefront of the emerging field of game technology, driving innovation and shaping the future of digital experiences.
To advance ETH’s educational mission, the GTC offers the ETH Game Programming Laboratory course and invites speakers from the game industry to contribute directly to education and scholarly enrichment. The GTC actively supports educational programs such as the Network of Women in Computer Science and activities such as external page Scientifica and Treffpunkt Science City that communicate the magic of science to a wide audience.
