Abstract
This thesis discusses an implementation for a sensor and perception system included in an existing library supporting Autonomous Non-Player Characters (ANPCS). The target is an interface to simplify and reduce the work of developers, especially game designers, while not restricting their creativity regarding the low level definition of this system. Our solution proposes an easy to understand interface that has a supporting data structure for larger scale simulations. The solution lets users define such a system through common data types in a simple or complex way, depending on their desires. A small game showing the possibilities of the NPC engine is used as a demonstration.
